Let me tell you something – when I first stumbled into Frostspire Expanse and met Bjorn, I had no idea I was about to embark on one of the most rewarding (and grind-heavy) questlines in The Forge. After spending countless hours perfecting every step of his missions, I’m here to share everything I’ve learned so you can crush these quests efficiently.
The Frostspire Expanse is the third major island in The Forge, released back on December 25th, 2025. This frozen wasteland is where the real challenge begins – enemies hit harder, resources are scarcer, and Bjorn becomes your gateway to late-game progression. Trust me, if you want to unlock the best pickaxes and access the toughest zones, you’ll need to complete every single one of his quests.
What makes this area special? The entire zone is ice-themed, featuring unique enemies you won’t find anywhere else, plus some seriously valuable resources that’ll make your mining adventures way more profitable. But here’s the catch – you can’t just waltz in and start mining. Bjorn’s questline serves as both a tutorial and a progression gate, ensuring you’re ready for what lies ahead.
Okay, I’ll be honest – when I first started Bjorn’s quests, I was a bit overwhelmed. The sheer number of enemies you need to kill can feel daunting. But here’s what I discovered: these quests are actually brilliantly designed to teach you everything you need to know about combat in The Forge.
What I really appreciate is how each quest builds upon the last. You start with basic Crystal Spiders, work your way up through tougher enemies, and eventually face off against the legendary Yeti. By the time I finished the entire questline, I felt like a true Frostspire veteran. Plus, the gold and EXP rewards are nothing to sneeze at – I walked away with enough resources to upgrade my gear significantly.
First things first – you need to actually find Bjorn. He’s hanging out near the spawn area in Frostspire Expanse, right outside a small hut. You can’t miss him – he’s the big Viking-looking dude with a quest marker above his head.
Here’s the complete quest breakdown with my personal tips for each stage:
Objective: Talk to Bjorn My Take: This is just an introduction quest. Make sure you’re properly geared before proceeding – enemies in Frostspire hit significantly harder than anything you’ve faced before.
Objective: Kill Crystal Spiders Pro Tip: Crystal Spiders spawn frequently in icy caves and mines. I found the best farming spot is the cave system directly east of Bjorn’s location. They’re relatively weak, so this quest should go quickly.
Objective: Talk to Sensei Moro Strategy: This is just a progression gate. Sensei Moro is back in the main forge area, so you’ll need to teleport back. Don’t worry – it’s worth the trip to unlock the next set of challenges.
Objectives: Collect Tungsten, Collect Sulfur, Mine Icy Pebbles Efficiency Tip: Plan your mining route carefully. I recommend starting with the sulfur deposits in the northern caves, then moving south for tungsten, and finishing with icy pebbles along the eastern cliffs. This minimizes backtracking.
Objectives: Kill Crystal Spiders, Kill Diamond Spiders Warning: Diamond Spiders are tougher and spawn deeper in caves. I learned the hard way that you should clear entire caves systematically – don’t just cherry-pick the easy spawns.
Objectives: Kill Prismarine Spiders, Kill Common Orcs Strategy: Prismarine Spiders are rare but spawn in specific icy cave sections. Common Orcs appear in surface camps. I found it most efficient to clear cave systems first, then hit the orc camps on my way back.
Objective: Kill Common Orcs Grind Alert: This is pure grinding, but here’s my secret – target the orc camps with the fastest respawn rates. The camp northeast of the main hub respawns every 2 minutes, making it perfect for efficient farming.
Objectives: Kill 15 Elite Orcs, Kill 35 Common Orcs Combat Tip: Elite Orcs are tough and often guarded. I recommend pulling them one at a time when possible, or grouping up with other players for the tougher encounters.
Objective: Kill 40 Elite Orcs Time Saver: Focus exclusively on Elite Orc spawn zones. The area around the ice crystal cave has the highest concentration, and I’ve found they respawn every 3-4 minutes.
Objectives: Kill 15 Crystal Golems, Kill 25 Elite Orcs Build Recommendation: Crystal Golems are tanky with high defense. Skill damage builds perform much better here than pure weapon damage. I switched to a magic-focused build and cut my completion time in half.
Objective: Kill 30 Crystal Golems Farming Route: The most efficient route I found circles the central mountain, hitting three known Crystal Golem spawn points. It takes about 10 minutes per full circuit.
Objectives: Kill the Yeti, Kill 20 Crystal Golems Boss Strategy: The Yeti is no joke – 10,000-14,000 health and hits for 125 damage. Clear the surrounding area first, then focus on dodging his ice attacks. I recommend bringing health potions and using a balanced build with both offense and defense.
While Bjorn’s quests don’t have special codes, I’ve found that keeping up with The Forge’s latest codes can really help with gear upgrades. Make sure to check regularly for new codes that might give you extra gold or resources.
As of January 2026, there haven’t been any major changes to Bjorn’s questline, but the developers have tweaked some spawn rates. Crystal Golems now spawn slightly more frequently, which is a nice quality-of-life improvement for the later quests.
After completing this questline multiple times, here are my top tips:
A: Unfortunately, no. Bjorn’s quests are strictly linear and mandatory for full Frostspire Expanse progression. Trust me, you’ll want to complete them anyway for the access they unlock.
A: Depending on your gear and play style, expect 8-12 hours of focused gameplay. I managed to speedrun it in about 6 hours with optimal gear and routes.
A: I recommend at least Iron armor with a Diamond or better weapon. For the later quests, having some magic damage capabilities really helps against Crystal Golems.
A: Absolutely! While you don’t get unique items, the EXP and gold rewards are substantial, and more importantly, you unlock access to the best late-game content in The Forge.
A: Most quests are soloable with good gear, but some of the Elite Orc and Crystal Golem objectives go much faster with a group. Don’t be afraid to ask for help in the game’s chat.
Looking back on my journey through Bjorn’s questline, I can honestly say it’s one of the most rewarding progressions in The Forge. Yes, it’s grindy at times, but the sense of accomplishment when you finally take down that Yeti is unmatched.
What I love most is how these quests prepare you for the real challenges that await in deeper Frostspire Expanse. By the time you’re done, you’ll know the enemy spawn patterns, have efficient farming routes memorized, and be ready to tackle whatever the developers throw at us next.
So grab your best gear, stock up on potions, and dive in. The frozen peaks of Frostspire are waiting, and I promise you – the rewards are worth every minute of the grind.
