If you’re diving into Roblox Abyss, you already know that tubes are your lifeline in this underwater adventure. I’ve spent countless hours exploring every corner of the abyss, testing every tube, and figuring out the most efficient ways to progress. Trust me, I’ve made all the mistakes so you don’t have to!
Today, I’m sharing everything I’ve learned about all tubes in Abyss and how to get them – from the free wooden tube to the legendary Ruined Tube that costs more than a small fortune. This isn’t just another basic list; I’m including cost-efficiency analysis, money-making strategies, and progression tips you won’t find anywhere else.
Tubes are essentially your underwater breathing apparatus and exploration vehicle rolled into one. They determine how deep you can dive, how long you can stay underwater, how much fish you can carry, and how fast you move through the water.
Every tube has four crucial stats:
Here’s something most guides don’t tell you: oxygen capacity is actually the least important stat once you understand the game mechanics. I’ll explain why in my progression section.
What makes Abyss special is how every tube upgrade feels meaningful. Unlike other games where you just grind for bigger numbers, each tube in Abyss unlocks entirely new areas, fishing opportunities, and money-making methods.
I still remember my first time upgrading from the Wooden Tube to the Pufferfish Tube – suddenly I could reach the Ancient Sands and catch fish worth 10x what I was making before. That’s the kind of progression that keeps you hooked!
Here’s every tube currently available in Abyss, with accurate stats and my personal notes on each:

Most guides will just tell you to buy tubes in order. That’s terrible advice! Here’s my optimized progression path that saves you time and money:
Skip the Old Tube and Fire Tube! I know it’s tempting, but you’re wasting money. Go straight from Wooden Tube → Normal Tube ($350). The Normal Tube gives you enough depth to complete all early quests and start making real money.
Pufferfish Tube is your goal here at $2,850. This is the sweet spot where you can access Ancient Sands and start catching valuable fish. Here’s my money-making strategy with this tube:
This is where most players make mistakes. Skip the Boat Tube and save directly for the Zeppelin Tube ($18,500). Here’s why:
Once you have the Zeppelin Tube, go straight for Rukiry Tube ($40,500). This is where the game really opens up, and you can start making serious money.
For the final stretch, I recommend Plane Tube over Lost Spirit Tube initially – it’s $63,500 cheaper and gives you almost the same depth capability.
Here’s something no other guide covers – specific money-making methods tailored to each tube:
Here are my personal secrets that took me months to figure out:
I’ve made these mistakes so you don’t have to:
The game developers recently buffed the Oxy Tube and reduced the price of Plane Tube from $90,500 to $86,500. They also added bubble refill spots in Spirit Roots, which makes late-game grinding much more efficient.
A: You die and lose 25% of your inventory and money. Always play it safe!
A: Depth is always more important. You can refill oxygen anywhere, but you can’t go deeper than your tube allows.
A: Normal Tube – skip the Old Tube and save for Normal Tube instead.
A: You need to find all rubber ducks scattered throughout the map. Check my complete duck locations guide.
A: Absolutely! The speed boost and weight capacity make it the best for end-game money-making.
After spending hundreds of hours in Abyss, I can tell you that tube progression is the most satisfying part of the game. Each upgrade opens up new possibilities and makes you feel like you’re truly mastering the underwater world.
Remember my golden rule: don’t rush your upgrades, but don’t be afraid to invest in the right tube. A good tube will pay for itself many times over with the money-making opportunities it unlocks.
